A Zola granddaughter and highly valued member of our ewe flock, she has many descendents in the flock. Red gave us Rektor twins in 2005, fat, sassy Thokki twins last year, one of them, 920S has lambs this spring . Red has had a total of 24 lambs in ten seasons, for a lifetime lambing record of 240%. Retired 2006 but she decided to breed fall of 2007 and just had wonderful twins at 11 years old! Look for her grandbabies and great grandbabies in our flock. Red just died a natural, old age death this July. The passing of an era, as she was my last STS ewe from Stefania. But she has left us four treasured daughters plus a number of outstanding grandbabies; all a fitting tribute to a wonderful ewe.

Thettir is famous as a father of daughters, and Shannon is a granddaughter - it shows! Outstanding, attentive mother, record of 1,2,2,2,1(VAI),2 one year missed to illness. Carries solid and moorit, poss. homozygous for moorit. Last year a beautiful Rektor ewe lamb, this year outstanding black gray twins. Her lambs are always well built and always sell.
AI BLW-118K	white, horned twin Her fleece is dependably heavy, with good, even texture. Yearling fleece nursing twins, 1#, 8 oz., soft with a silky sheen. This fall she skirted to 3#, 2 oz, long, silky tog, plenty of thel.	Molur	BLW-86G "Freckles" 118K's twins with Kunningi 2006 were some of the very best at holding their condition and red tissues during the worm season.	3/30/00	"Miss Bessie" She was an outstanding yearling, twinned beautifully for us that year, very calm mother. Record of 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2 Carries gray and moorit, particularly good build in the leg and pelvic girdle, she dependably gives us great lambs; great looking Kunningi twins last spring. A real treasure! Bessie's lambs this year have perhaps the silkiest and most lustrous fleece of the year.

A classic Solee daughter, a large ewe with deep body - look at that chest! Calm yet cautious, attentive mothering. Other than Red, our last ewe without any AI blood, but Solee is enough. Record of 1,2,2,2,2,2,2,3.
AI BLW-194L	polled white twin, more cottony than silk, lots and lots of thel, 2.0# in 2004	Hnykill	AI BLW-208J	3/28/01	"Juno", 3/4 AI, 1/2 Hnykill, 1/4 Skreppur. Big, wide, chesty girl! She carries the frosted Hnykill mouflon pattern. Very calm mother even as a yearling. One of her sons, 839G, working as a breeding ram with the polled ewe lambs. 1,2,1,2,2,3, 1(VAI). *194L won the Reserve Champion Ewe at the 2005 Icelandic National Show in Rhinebeck, New York!* Two years she gave us nice twins and we discovered that she is a calm and prolific milker! Triplets last year, all good, all consistent for size and build. Juno's triplets from last year have all three gotten through mid-summer without worming.

AI BLW-123K	STS-38Z	4/23/01	"Magdalena" A Solee daughter and a granddaughter of Heli and our old Red, she carries solid, spotting and moorit. Outstanding maternal qualities in a yearling, she picked a safe sheltered spot, and lambed as if she had done it for years - really impressive. Calm and friendly, plenty of structure on her build. 1,1,2,2,1(VAI),1,2 A big and beautiful gray ram with Grimur in 2006 who went into the breeding pen that fall. 1/4 Heli. Magda has not needed worming this year since lambing.
BLW-403M	Moorit, polled triplet	AI BLW-198L	STS-858G	4/12/02 Her 2006 fleece is 2#, 10 oz., lots of thel, no loss to the weather.	"Little Red" was not bred her first fall as she was a triplet with two huge brothers. One of our Red daughters, she is calm and friendly and very maternal; 1/4 Heli. Record of 2,2,2,2,1(VAI) Her Kostur twins in 2005 were particularly nice. 816R is a strong breeding ram some wonderful daughters in the flock, and her daughter 817R is the model ewe during lambing, including twins as a yearling. Little Red had outstanding Hnokki twins last spring, her daughter stayed as a breeder and had wonderful twins as a yearling, all with strong parasite tolerance. Her Lykill daughter is big, bold, full of fleece and is doing spectacularly well this worm season.
AI BLW-465M	Black, polled triplet Lamb fleece, 1#, 9 oz., good length, silky, no weather loss, gray undercoat, interesting white flashes. Her two year fleece, 3# 7 oz., silky! Flash is turning out to be one of our most treasured and dependable ewes. This year's fleece is silky again.	Buri	BLW-108G	4/24/02	Named "Flash" for the white splash on her neck, she has a Queen's bloodlines. Sire Buri has given her structure and fleece, and on her dam's side, she has the old bloodlines of ewe STS-18Z, and her son STS-356E, as well as great-grandparents Thor, our original herd sire, STS-38Y, and of course Solee, STS-38Z. As a triplet she was not bred as a yearling. Then a record of 1,2,2,2,2,2 Great Arfi twins in 2005, *One of the twins, 801R, took Grand Champion Ram at the Icelandic National Show in Rhinebeck New York!* Nice Aegir twins in 2006, fat Ormur twins in 2007, both of whom twinned as yearlings this year, and Mori twins this year. What a girl! Her twins are always amazing and are always the next step up in quality. Carries spotting. Her yearling daughter 102T has been very strong this parasite season and has not needed worming.
BLW-520M	Black gray, polled single Always a great fleece, downy, downy, downy with fine tog, As a lamb, 1# 1 oz., nice! with great color contrast. Yearling, skirted to 2# 8 oz., 3# 2 oz. and 2# 6 oz. as adult, still downy! Chub is a calm and no nonsense mother; so dependable.	AI BLW-325L	STS-66Z	5/28/02	The last lamb born to Zola, Chub Chub as we call her, is a permanent addition to our ewe flock. 1/4 Hunn, she carries moorit and has the soft and thel-rich fleece of both parents. Chub is a Red granddaughter. Not bred her first year, she mothered a beautiful set of twins as a two-year old; the ram lamb 719P won the breeding job in the ewe lamb pen. *Wonderful Rektor twins 2005, one of whom, 809R took second place in the Ewe Lamb Class at the Icelandic National Show in Rhinebeck, New York.* 2,2,1(VAI),1(VAI), 2(VAI). Her son with Visir, BLW-109T, is perhaps the best ram lamb of 2007 and was in the breeding pen last fall.
AI BLW-608N	White polled single 608N's twins were amazing in 2006, all meat! VAI Triplets last year, sassy twins this year. This gal is one of our stars.	Dalur	AI BLW-241J	4/5/03	"Miss Bianca", also know as "Blanche". Another 3/4 AI addition to our ewe flock. 1/2 Dalur, and it shows! Plus 1/4 Flekkur; a great combination for fleece and muscle. A very nice, wide build in the rump and leg. Overall, very stocky, particularly deep muscle in the leg. Carries solid, spotting and moorit. Her daughter from her yearling year herself twinned as a yearling. record of 1,2,2,3(VAI), 2. 608N took third place in the large Adult Ewe class at the National Icelandic Show in Rhinebeck, New York. The other two ewes took Grand Champion and Reserve Champion, so the competition was tough! 608N had our first set of VAI triplets ever spring 2007 with Ormur, and they are all staying to join the flock. Miss Bianca has not needed worming yet this summer.

BLW-402M	STS-38Z "Solee"	4/25/03	"Miss Millie", The newest in our line of Solee daughters. Must carry solid, and be homozygous for moorit. Calm and confident, she kept her elderly mother Solee company her last summer. Especially nice build in the leg, was very calm and motherly with her first lamb - her mother's daughter! She is a Solee daughter and Heli great-granddaughter. Wonderful Rektor twins in 2005, a black gray ram lamb with Grimur, VAI in 2006. She carries spotting, solid and moorit. Her Grimur son just took Grand Champion Icelandic ram at MFF, and went on to take all-breed Supreme Champion Ram! Grimur twins again this year. record of 1, 2(VAI), 1(VAI), 2(VAI),2. Her Grimur ewe lamb from 2007 is a tank! This is a ewe who has a good, although not spectacular build, but *always* has lambs bigger, stocky and better than herself.

BLW-614N Topaz's yearling fleece is 2# 9 oz., a beautiful platinum color.	BLW-650N	5/11/04	"Topaz", Single born to a yearling, she is a great granddaughter of Flotti on her dam's side, and Sveppur and Heli on her sire's side, she comes up to 3/8 AI. She is proving to be a great mother, very calm as a yearling, cautious and watchful. Homozygous for the gray pattern, it shows in the light coloration of the face. Carries spotting. Watch this girl in the years ahead! Record of 1, 1 (AI), 2,2(VAI). Her Ormur twins this year are fat, sassy and have the most impressive spotting patterns.

BLW-807R Kibba's yearling fleece is wow! 3# 12 oz., no loss to the weather, silky tog, and plenty of long, thick, creamy thel. Great fleece!! Great combination as she is broad, with a full fleece, dense with thel. Very big lamb as a yearling last spring, excellent mothering, moorit twins last year, moorit ram lamb this year.

BLW-403M "Little Red"	Kostur	4/9/05	"Kiki", 1/2 Kostur, 1/8 Heli, 817R was a very large, very well built ewe lamb. Another permanent addition to our ewe flock, she had twins as a yearling, a wonderful, protective mother, twins grew very well. Twins again 2007 with Eldar, she could have written the book on lambing with ease, single VAI lamb this year with Grani. Record of 2,2(VAI),1(VAI)
BLW-821R "Silky" Her two year fleece, is creamy, silky, a lovely soft gray. 2#, 12 oz.	Black with flash, polled, twin Silky just skirted the most outstanding lamb fleece of the year. 3 lb., 2 oz, and all mahogany black silk with flashes of white, no weather loss, and plenty of dark gray, downy thel. (see photo)	BLW-608N Silky's yearling fleece skirted at exactly 3 lb., and is still all silk. She has grayed up to a beautiful dark charcoal thel with pewter tog.	BLW-638N	4/11/05	1/8 Dalur from her sire and 1/4 Dalur from her dam, plus 1/8 Flekkur; the combination really works! Her dam 608N just took third place in the large Adult Ewe class at the National Icelandic Show, in Rhinebeck, NY, including a wool score of 8.5. As a yearling, a well built lamb, mothered very well. Aegir twins in 2007 that both had outstanding fleeces, packed with thel, and grew very quickly. One of our rising stars. VAI triplets this year with Langidalur, all even sized, all doing really well. Had nice looking ewe lamb twins as a yearling, mothered *very* well. She is one of our rising stars; a Solee Granddaughter. Great VAI twins with Mori in 2007, VAI twins this spring with Grani. BLW-863R	White, horned single Surprisingly big lamb fleece at 2#, 6 oz., all silky tog and downy thel, really nice fleece! No loss to the weather at all, this fleece was a wonderful surprise!	BLW-726P	BLW-609N "Bobby Sox"	5/11/05 Wow! her yearling fleece is just about perfect. No weather loss, thick, delicious, creamy texture, plenty of down, no coarseness to the tog. 3 lbs. exactly	"Sophia, aka Sniffy", Cute as a button, born to a yearling she was a bit small to breed as a lamb. She is a valued addition to our growing flock of leader-line ewes. Her grand dam is out of Ari and Blesa, and her sire is out of Biskup. Carries solid and spotting. 1/4 Biskup, 1/16 Moli, for 5/16 AI. Twins with Tigull last spring, twins this year. Sniffy has not yet needed worming this summer.

BLW-768P	Arfi	4/7/06	"Penny", nice at birth and kept on going. 11/16 AI, 1/2 Arfi, 1/16 each Flotti, Sveppur, Heli. Knew she was a keeper immediately, did not lamb as a yearling, she just had fat and sassy twins that are growing well. Her twins have not yet needed to be wormed this summer.

Very long, thick thel, long tog. Nice!!	Muli's recessive color was an unknown until this ewe was born, and she's a beauty! 1/2 Muli, 1/8 Morro, a Snowflake great-granddaughter - wow! Just had a lovely set of twins with BLW-109T; doing a great job with them. Named Bear because she is big, brown and shaggy with all that fleece.
BLW-919S Wow! Great lamb fleece! 3#, 4 oz. of thick, downy fleece. No weather loss, all wonderful.	White, small horns, VAI single	BLW-614N "Libby"	Lodi	4/12/06	Lodi is reported to be an outstanding father of daughters, plus great build scores. 919S has ear spots, so almost certainly carries a recessive from Mom. 1/2 Lodi, 1/8 Flotti. Very nice job as a yearling, took great care of her lamb, she had twins this spring. Careful, watchful mother.
BLW-922S	White, horned, twin	BLW-118K "Miss Bessie"	Kunningi Her lamb fleece just skirted to exactly two pounds, with a silky shine and plenty of downy thel.	4/13/06	Mom is a Molur daughter, so 922S is 3/4 AI, 1/2 Kunningi, 1/4 Molur. Great build, short, broad and chesty. A definite keeper! Looks to carry solid from Mom. Did a great job as a yearling mother with her lamb and had VAI twins with Blettur this year. Her Blettur daughter this year is outstanding!
BLW-932S	Black, polled, triplet Her lamb fleece just skirted up to 2 lb., 12 oz., and it is all silk and down. Dense with thel, the color is dark black with shiny mahogany red tips.	BLW-482M	BLW-801R "Preston"	4/18/06	One of a set of really nice triplets! She has a splash of white on her neck that may indicate a recessive spotting gene and we know she carries moorit. 1/4 each Arfi and Dalur, 1/8 Buri, total of 5/8 - daughter of our Grand Champion, 801R. Singled as a yearling, she has two really nice looking badger twins this year. Watch this gal in the years ahead, I have a good feeling about her. 932S has not yet needed worming this summer.
BLW-939S	Moorit, horned, twin	BLW-810R	BLW-860R	4/21/06 Her yearling fleece weighed in at 3# 9 oz., skirted! Must be the Kari genes. Lovely honey tones.	Very nice looking twin born to a yearling; her mother did a great job. 939S is 1/4 each Rektor and Kari, 1/8 Serkur, 5/8 total, plus a granddaughter of Red, 858G and also a descendant of Solee, 38Z. Just had a lovely VAI Ljufur daughter.
BLW-959S	Black badgerface, horned, twin Lamb fleece skirted to 2#, 3 oz. Lovely oatmeal color, some gray undercoat, very downy.	BLW-722P	BLW-815R	4/30/06	Heli and Moli in her family tree, plus Solee on both sides, and Red as her Grandmother. Carries moorit. Not bred as a yearling, 959S is raising a very nice set of twins.
BLW-966S Lamb fleece just skirted to 2#, 2 oz. Nice fleece, curly with a thick thel.	Polled white triplet	BLW-247J "Serena"	BLW-816R	5/10/06	Carries solid, moorit and spotting. 1/4 Flekkur, 1/4 Kostur, 1/16 Heli; she is a Red great-granddaughter. Very broad of beam, born big, grew bigger! Staying in the place of her dam. Great job with her daughter last spring and very nice twins this year. Record of 1,2. 966S has not yet needed worming this summer.
BLW-102T	Black polled twin with flash of white	BLW-465M "Flash"	Ormur	4/06/07	These twins were great at birth and just kept on going, they are the latest in a series of outstanding Flash lambs. 3/4 AI, 1/2 Ormur, 1/4 Buri. Lovely twins as a yearling this year, as did her twin 101T. 102T has not yet needed worming this summer.
BLW-112T	White polled single	BLW-614N Libby	Rektor	4/09/07	Must carry solid and spotting from her sire, she could also carry spotting from her dam, plus moorit. This is an amazing ewe lamb! Long and straight in the topline, she stands out among her age group. Very big and well grown, we are looking forward to her lambs. 1/2 Rektor, 1/8 Flotti. Beautiful twins as a yearling, she is a great mother!
BLW-116T	"Clover" black spotted polled triplet	BLW-608N "Blanche"	Ormur	4/11/07	A real treasure! 7/8 AI, 1/2 Ormur, 1/4 Dalur, 1/8 Flekkur, plus a triplet! The sister to two huge girls, Clover will wait out a year before breeding. Even as a triplet yearling, Clover has a very well built lamb this spring and has a very good udder.
BLW-117T "Blossom"	White, polled, triplet	BLW-608N "Blanche"	Ormur	4/11/07	Wow! VAI triplets, 7/8 AI, 1/2 Ormur, 1/4 Dalur, and 1/8 Flekkur; it is a great combination. She and her sister Aja are so well matched for build and size they are impossible to tell apart. Big, long topline, lost of muscle, fantastic additions to the ewe flock. Carries solid and spotting. Her lamb is doing really well, even as a triplet yearling.
BLW-118T "Aja"	White polled triplet	BLW-608N "Blanche"	Ormur	4/11/07	The 1/2 Ormur, 1/4 Dalur and 1/8 Flekkur add up to a great combination. As you can see from the photo with her sister Blossom above, they are beautifully well matched, well grown ewe lambs. Aja has not needed worming so far this summer.

BLW-124T 124T's lamb fleece is jam packed with thel. Very little weather loss.	White, horned twin	BLW-722P	Kjalvar	4/12/07	Red granddaughters are always welcome to join the flock and sire Kjalvar has a maternal milkiness BLUP scores of 108 and a meat score of 122! so we have high hopes for this ewe. Nice black lamb so we know she carries solid. Great mother as a yearling.
BLW-129T	Black gray polled triplet	BLW-617N	BLW-839R	4/13/07	An interesting mix of AI lines, Heli, Skjanni, Hnykill, Skreppur and Flotti for a total of 5/8. Beautiful contrast of color in her fleece, I can't wait to get my hands in it to skirt. Carries moorit. Kept her condition well throughout the parasite season and is doing a lovely job with her lamb. 129T has not needed to be wormed yet this summer.
BLW-130T	White, polled triplet	BLW-617N	BLW-839R	4/13/07	Like 129T above, she has a rich combination of AI lines, Heli, Skjanni, Hnykill, Skreppur and Flotti, comes to 5/8 AI. Carrie gray, moorit possible as well. She and her sister did well during the parasite season. She and 129T above have not yet needed worming this summer.
BLW-131T	White, horned twin	FFC-436R "Tia"	Rektor	4/14/07	This is one nice looking ewe lamb! Long and straight in the topline, broad chest, she and her twin were standouts all summer. Must carry solid and spotting from her sire, she is another 7/8 AI, 1/2 Rektor, 1/4 Muli, 1/8 Laekur, could carry moorit. She has a very nice lamb this year and is a careful mother. 131T has not been wormed yet this summer.
BLW-134T	White, horned twin	BLW-726P "Short Horns"	Udi	4/16/07	She and 135T below are showing their potential as Udi daughters. His total ram score was an amazing 86.5! And these gals show it! Could carry solid and spotting from their dam. 1/2 Udi, plus a smidgen of Moli. She just had her lamb and is a good yearling mother. 134T has not yet been wormed this summer.
BLW-137T	White, polled twin	BLW-403M "Little Red"	Hnokki	4/17/07	A beautiful rich tan color that is an indicator of her solid and moorit recessive genes. Very long-bodied, part of what is called "Harmony" in Iceland. Hnokki plus 1/8 Heli for 5/8 AI. This yearling gets the gold star out of the yearling class. She twinned early in the lambing season, mothers them effortlessly, they are even sized and growing very well. Watch this gal in the future; she could be one of our rising stars. 137T has had top scores this summer and has not needed to be wormed. Her twins are doing very well during parasite season as well, even though twins born to yearlings are usually very vulnerable. Wow!!

Juno has been a wonderful, calm and milky ewe for us. 160T tried to gestate twins, even as a late-born triplet yearling, but just couldn't quite hold on. She miscarried about 10 days before lambing, but then readily accepted a foster lamb and is doing an excellent job with her. Carries solid and spotting. All three triplets have gotten this far through the season without worming.

As a yearling, her ewe lamb 50G was the flock's best lamb. 1,2,3,1,3, miscarried, 1,3,1. Snowy milks triplets better than most ewes milk twins. Picked out of the ewe flock by the ram evaluator at South Ram Stud station in Iceland as the best ewe in our flock. A real prize and truly her mother's daughter. Retired 2006, Snowflake died this spring.

A Zola granddaughter and highly valued member of our ewe flock, she has many descendents in the flock. Red gave us Rektor twins in 2005, fat, sassy Thokki twins last year, one of them, 920S has lambs this spring . Red has had a total of 22 lambs in nine seasons, for a lifetime lambing record of 233%. Retired 2006. Look for her grandbabies on the lamblist.
STS-66Z	black solid, polled, single	STS-31W	STS-70W	4/17/90	"Zola" kept her dark, rich black with little fading; wonderful udder, short, sturdy build, fine fleece, productive udder. She lambed at 12 yrs old and always twinned until the age of 11. We lost Zola to old age August of 2002. Carries moorit - her daughters are treasured members of our ewe flock.

Many descendents in the flock. 14 yrs. old when she finally died. "Ma" as we call her at home, has produced an outstanding line; her strong maternal qualities carry down to her daughters, grand-daughters and great-grands. We will work to keep her outstanding genes in the flock to maintain her impressive influence. *Her daughter 475M just took second place in the Adult Ewe class at the National Icelandic Show in Rhinebeck, New York.*

The only way we could have parted with this ewe was by keeping two colored AI triplet daughters from last year!

Carrying moorit, her soft fleece is due in part to Old Finewool being in both sides of her family tree. Outstanding maternal qualities, record of 1,3(AI),3,2(AI),3,4! Her multiples thrive, no intervention required. Very sadly, we lost Lizzy spring of 2003. 3 of her 4 quads this year will be added to our permanent flock and two sons, 162K and 612N, were used for breeding.

Her moorit AI (Bambi) badgerface son, 604N was used in the breeding pen in 2004, as was her gray Rektorson 762P. Little Bear gave us badgerface triplets and 815R was in the breeding pen fall of 2005. Her granddaughter 959S is joining the ewe flock. Little Bear just died a peaceful death, Nov. 2006.

Dam had 16 lambs in 9 years and Big Girl's record is 1,2,2,2,2,2,2,1 - Her lambs are always outstanding! Big Girl has moved to another farm, but she has plenty of daughters here.
